WARNING
Depress the second stage manual purge button during this operation. This reduces the
shock on the valve. DO NOT PERFORM THIS OPERATION WHEN AMBIENT TEMPERATURE
IS LESS THAN 10°C.
-
Check the pressure gauge to ensure that it indicates the proper tank pressure for your
planned dive.
-
Check the tank and regulator connection for leakage. If leakage exists, it may be caused by
incorrect mounting of the regulator on the valve or a damaged O-Ring on the tank valve.
-
To confirm that the regulator delivers air properly, exhale through the mouthpiece to blow out
any foreign bodies from the second stage, then inhale. Any obvious problems should
immediately become clear by repeating this operation several times.
WARNING
The valve must be completely open before to start diving.
COLD WATER DIVING
WARNING
Cold water diving (10°C or lower) without proper training may cause serious injury.
Before diving in cold water, special training under the supervision of authorised diving
instructors is advisable. When diving in cold water, also make sure that your regulator
has been specifically designed and certified for use in cold water and follow all the
operating instructions in the relative manuals carefully.
POST-DIVE CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Remove the regulators and the back-pack from the tank and rinse carefully with fresh water.
Leave to dry completely and store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.
HANDLING CYLINDERS
The cylinders must be handled with cure. During transport they must be secured in order to
prevent tem from falling, rolling and rubbing.
FILLING
Cylinders must be filled only using compressors equipped with filters to ensure that the
compressed air is free from humidity and other impurities. The compressed air for breathing
equipment can contain no more than 50mg/m3 of water for loading pressure of 230 bar.
It’s important that filling is done gradually to avoid a pressure surcharge and/or cylinder
overheating.
Overfilling the cylinders is highly dangerous!
