2.5.1.2. Absolute Encoder

The XC6e retrieves absolute position data along with encoder fault information through a serial data
stream from the absolute encoder. Use twisted-pair wiring for the highest performance and noise
immunity. You cannot use an absolute encoder with incremental signals on the Auxiliary I/O Connector.

Refer to

Figure 2-24

for the serial data stream interface.

Refer to the Help file for information on how to set up your EnDat or BiSS absolute encoder parameters.
