Automatic defrosting
In the dehumidification mode ice may build up on the evaporator. The volume of
ice depends on the ambient conditions in the room to be dehumidified.
The dehumidifier is equipped with an automatic hot-gas defrosting system.
This causes automatic defrosting of the appliance depending on the extent of ice
build-up according to the following principle:
The temperature sensor monitors the status in a critical area of the evaporator.
It transmits the defrost signal to the DryLogic which will determine the defrosting
demand and automatically start the defrost cycle. During the defrost cycle the
compressor continues to run whereas the fan is stationary.
Subsequently the air dehumidifier resumes work in the standard
dehumidification mode.
