Test Measurements
Test Lead Connections
Insert
the
three plug connectors of test lead into
the
termin-
als of the Tester. Red to L, Green to E, Blue to N. Then connect
the other end of the test lead into the tested circuit
(power socket 230V/50Hz).
Danger
● Do not touch any exposed metal or conductors during these
test
operations.
● Internal components in the tester may get hot during its
testing.
If the tester is operated continuously for a long time, it
may
cause damage to the unit or other hazards. It is
not
recommended to use the tester for a continuous long period
of
time or continuous tests on production lines in RCD factories.
It
is only suitable for sampling precision tests.
● When using trip currents of 300mA or 500mA please allow 5
minutes between tests
.
To allow the tester to cool
.
6. Maintenance & Repair
6.1 Cleaning the Casing:
Clean the surface of the tester with dry soft cloth;
DO NOT USE
alcohol
or
solvent
s as
it may cause corrosive damage to the LCD.
Protect the test instrument from any moisture.
6.2 Repair
Please contact your Aegis sales representative if the following
issues occur:
A. The test instrument’s casing is broken or the components are
damaged.
B. LCD display works abnormally.
C. Unexpected data occur under normal use.
D. The buttons do not function normally.
E. Noise occurs during tests.

4.5 When the tests are finished, disconnect the test lead from the
tested circuit immediately.
(2) Wiring Check
Check the wiring status by identifying three LEDs. If P-E and P-N
green LEDs are illuminated an
d
red LED is off, it indicates the
wiring is correct. Otherwise wiring is wrong due to reverse
connection between L and N terminals or bad grounding. Please
unplug the test leads, check and correct the relative circuits until
correct wiring LED indication is
obtained.
(3)
Press I

current rating as the RCD that is under test. The set trip current
will be shown on lower part of LCD.
Default value: I
