RANDOM (15 on the remote)
The display will show “RANDOM” and the number of the
track that will be played first. All tracks will be played con-
secutively in random order.
FOLDER (4 on the remote)
For MP3 or a CD in MP3 format:
Press these buttons during playback to switch one folder up
or down. The display shortly shows a message, e.g. ALBUM
02. Then the system automatically starts playback of the MP3
CD. When pressing the buttons during stop mode, the mes-
sage will also shortly be shown in the display. Then press
SCAN/ENTER to start playback.
SLEEP (7 on the remote)
When the device is switched on, you can set the time after
which the device will turn into standby mode; set the time in
10 minutes intervals from 90 to 10 minutes. Repeatedly press
this button until the display shows the desired time. When
the function is activated, the remaining time is displayed
about every 10 seconds. The device will turn off automatically
after the preset time.
To switch off the function again, press the SLEEP button
repeatedly until nothing is shown on the display.
TIMER (6 on the remote)
You may program the device for it to turn off and on again
after a certain preset time.
1. Use STANDBY ON button to switch into standby
mode (time will be displayed).
2. Hold down the TIMER button until the “ON TIME” ap
-
pears on the display.
• Using the
/
SKIP/TUNE SEARCH buttons (16/13),
you can now set the turn-on hours, turn-on minutes,
turn-off hours, turn-off minutes, turn-on mode and
the turn-on volume.
• Confirm your input each time with the TIMER button.
The current display to be set flashes on the display.
NOTE:
If no button is pressed within around 5 seconds, the
device switches back to standby mode without saving
the input.
3. After you have selected the turn-on volume, press the
TIMER button again. The settings are shown one after the
other on the display. The device will switch into standby
mode. “ ” will be displayed and the timer is activated.
After the set time has been reached, the device switches
to the selected mode. The volume increases slowly to the
selected volume.
Press TIMER to deactivate the timer function. TIME OFF is
shown briefly on the display. “
” will disappear from the
display.
MENU/INFO (15/13)
Pauses the CD or piece of music.
In iPOD Mode:
• First press the ID3/iPOD/MEM/C-ADJ. button to activate
the iPod menu. iPOD MENU appears in the display.
• Now press the
MENU/INFO button to call up the iPod/
iPhone menu or to return to the previous menu.
NOTE:
The Music App must already be started to do this.
In DAB Mode:
Displays the additional information. See section “Listening to
the radio” “Display additional DAB information”.
MUTE (10 on the remote)
Quickly turn off the sound. The “MUTE ON” display flashes.
To cancel this function, press
MUTE again.
EQ (11 on the remote)
(Preset equalizer function). There are different sound modes
available (FLAT, CLASSIC, ROCK, POP, JAZZ).
NOTE: During iPod/iPhone Music Playback
For optimum sound, change the EQ setting on your iPod/
iPhone as required.
SELECT/MONO/ST (3 on the remote)
During FM radio mode:
Switch between STEREO and MONO.
In DAB Mode:
Hold down the button to manually adjust a DAB station.
REPEAT (14 on the remote)
Press 1 x:
(REP_1 lights up) The current track will be
repeated entirely.
Press 2 x:
(REP_ALL lights up) The complete CD will
be repeated entirely.
Press 3 x:
All functions will be canceled. Normal play
-
back will be continued.
Only for MP3s and CDs in MP3 format:
Press 1 x:
The current track will be repeated continu
-
ously (The display will show REP_1).
Press 2 x:
The complete CD will be repeated continu
-
ously (the display will show REP_ALL).
Press 3 x:
The selected folder of the MP3 CD will be
repeated continuously (the display will show
REP_ALBUM). Use FOLDER
buttons
(4 on the remote) to select the individual
folders.
Press 4 x:
The function will be deactivated and the CD
will be played in normal mode.
