
In the case that the mains distribution will be switched
off every evening the same must be done with the UPS to
avoid unnecessary battery discharge. Otherwise the
will be started automatically because for the UPS
it seems to be a mains failure.
This w-ill lead to a reduction of the usable life of the
battery.
Caused by completely discharged battery (e.g. unit
hadn’t been switched off by mistake despite a
lasting mains failure or because of the self-discharge
nature of the battery during a longer storage period)
unlogical signalling states eventually may occur. This
can be normally eliminated without problems and has
no influence on the reliability of the UPS later on.
If the LED
is blinking after switching on
the UPS the unit should stay at this state for approx. 3
hours with respect to battery charging. Afterwards the
UPS must be switched off for approx. 1 minute. Follo-
wing this procedure the UPS should be switched on
again. Now only LED
should
be
blinking.
