Care and
Cleaning

It is important to keep your refrigerator
clean to prevent bacteria and odor from
forming.

Remove all food and disconnect the power
source before cleaning the interior compart-
ment.

Always disconnect the service cord from
wall before cleaning the refrigerator.
Turning the interior controls to “0” will not
disconnect the power supply.

Failure to disconnect the power supply may
result in electrical shock and personal injury.

Do not use metallic scouring pads, brushes,
abrasive cleaners, or alkaline solutions to
clean the refrigerator. Use a sponge or soft
cloth.

Do not wash removable parts in a dish-
washer.

Damp objects stick to frozen surfaces. Do
not touch frozen surfaces with wet hands.

Do not use flammable or toxic cleaning
materials.

Care and

Cleaning

INSIDE

Wash the inside of the refrigerator and
freezer with a mild household cleaner or a
solution of 2 tablespoons of baking soda in
1 liter of warm water. Rinse and dry.

Avoid getting water inside electrical parts
such as the temperature controls or the
light fixtures.

Wash removable parts, storage bins and
door gaskets in a mild household detergent
and warm water. Rinse and dry.

OUTSIDE

Wash cabinet with warm water and a mild
liquid detergent. Rinse well and wipe with a
clean soft cloth.

To prevent damage to your floor when
moving the refrigerator, place a mat or rug
under the front levelers or rollers.

CONDENSER CLEANING

Since your refrigerator is equipped with a

Never Clean

 condenser, there’s no need to

clean the condenser under normal operat-
ing conditions. If the refrigerator is oper-
ated under particularly dusty or greasy
conditions, or if there is significant pet
traffic in your home, it may be necessary to
periodically clean the condenser for
maximum efficiency.

If cleaning of the condenser is necessary,
remove the toe grille and use an extended
vacuum attachment and condenser cleaning
brush (available from your local dealer) to
remove dust build-up from the condenser
coils.

CARE AND CLEANING OF ICE
DISPENSER:

Clean the dispenser and storage bin
periodically:

1. Stop ice production (raise signal arm).
2. Remove storage bin. Empty and clean

with mild detergent and warm water.
DO NOT submerge bin in water or use
abrasive cleaners.

3. Remove ice chips, clean the shelf and ice

chute.

4. Replace storage bin.
5. Begin ice production again (lower signal

arm).

Plan to remove the ice storage bin from the
freezer if:

1. A power failure of 1 hour or more

causes ice remaining in machine to melt
and then freeze together causing the ice
making mechanism to jam when the
power resumes.

2. The ice maker is not used frequently.

CAUTION

 - DO NOT put fingers up ice

chute. Surfaces may be sharp.

DO NOT rotate the auger when replacing
the ice bin. To realign auger, rotate it in 90°
turns until ice bin fits into place with driver
mechanism.
