Troubleshooting
Configuration Utility can not find EDG-4100W/4110W
This chapter explains how to solve some of the most common problems you could encounter while
using EDG-4100W/EDG-4110W. If you are still having problems after reading this chapter, contact
your dealer, or e-mail Advantech support for help.
1. Check the WORK LED. If it is off, m
ake sure the EDG device power cable is plugged in, and
make sure the input voltage is set to +5V

2. Check the WLAN LED. If it is off,
check to see if the wireless network connection is OK.
3. Check to see if the EDG-4100W/ EDG-4110W and the host are on the same LAN. Your host
and the EDG-4100W/ EDG-4110W should be set on the same mode, channel, SSID, and network
domain.
4. Check to see if the wireless AP’s signal is too weak, and if there are too many wireless AP’s in
your area.
5. Check to see if your wireless network needs an encryption key, and if so, set the encryption.
6. Refer pg.10 and pg.11 of the ADAM-4571W User Guide, under the section, “Diagnostic mode to
search EDG-4100W and EDG-4100W”, and try to set your wireless environment the same as the
diagnostic setting of EDG-4100W/ EDG-4100W.
