PCI XGA/LCD Setup

5.1  Introduction

ARK-1370 has an onboard AMD LX800 chipset for its AGP/XGA con-
troller. It supports LVDS LCD displays and conventional analog CRT 
monitors with 64 MB frame buffer shared with system memory. The 
VGA controller can drive CRT displays with resolutions up to 1024 x 768 
@ 85-Hz and 1600 x 1200 @ 75-Hz and supports 2 channel LVDS dis-
play mode up to XGA panel resolution with frequency range from 25-
MHz to 165-MHz

5.1.1

CMOS setting for panel type

ARK-1370 BIOS and custom drivers are located in a 512 KB Flash ROM 
device, designated U1 on system motherboard of ARK-1370. A single 
Flash chip holds the system BIOS, VGA BIOS and network Boot ROM 
image. The display can be configured via CMOS settings. This method 
shows the “Output display” selection items of Advanced Chipset Features 
of the Award BIOS Setup.
