User’s Manual

•

EIDE hard disk drive interface:

Supports up to four IDE hard disk

drives other enhanced IDE devices. Supports PIO mode 4 (16.67 MB/s
data transfer rate) and Ultra ATA 100/66/33 (100/66/33 MB/s data
transfer rate).

•

Floppy disk drive interface:

Supports up to two floppy disk drives,

5¼" (360 KB and 1.2 MB) and/or 3½" (720 KB, 1.44 MB). BIOS
enabled/disabled

1.3.2 Memory

RAM:

Up to 2GB in two 184-pin DIMM sockets. Supports DDR200/

266 SDRAM (AIMB-740-B supports DDR333).

ECC:

AIMB-740-B: not supported, AIMB-741-B: supported

5 PCI slots, 32-bit, 33MHz. PCI 2.2 compliant

EISA Bus:

2 slots with PCI-to-ISA controller IT8888

Enhanced parallel port:

Configurable to LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, or dis-

abled. Standard DB-25 female connector provided. Supports EPP/SPP/
ECP

Serial ports:

Two RS-232 ports with 16C550 UARTs (or compatible)

with 16-byte FIFO buffer. Supports speeds up to 115.2 Kbps. Ports can
be individually configured to COM1, COM2 or disabled

Keyboard and PS/2 mouse connector:

Two 6-pin mini-DIN connec-

tor are located on the mounting bracket for easy connection to a key-
board and PS/2 mouse.

USB port:

Supports up to six USB 2.0 and transmission rate up to

480Mbps. (Six USB ports are available in AIMB-740-B/741-B)
