Working with the OTDR
Setting up Measuring Parameters
•
Press
P
to access the main menu.
•
Press
F2
(Setup) to access the measuring
parameters window.
•
To move to desired parameter selection
use the
up/down
or
left/right
arrows.
•
Press
Enter
to activate the desired
parameter selection.
•
Use the
up/down
arrows to choose the
desired value. The value will become
highlight.
•
Press
Enter
to confirm changes.
•
Press
C
to close the window and save the changes.
Note:

Several wavelengths can be selected simultaneously. In this case measurements will
be performed on all chosen wavelengths one after another without stopping.

If an DR-500 Series is the quad OTDR model(for both Single mode and Multimode
applications) the choice of single-mode OTDR wavelength (SM1310, SM 1550 etc) will
automatically cancel out the choice of multimode OTDR wavelengths (MM 850,
MM1300) and vice versa.
