Delete Network Elements
The topics in this section describe how to delete one or more element from the Nav Pane.
Elements deleted from the Nav Pane are not removed from the network, and service is not
affected in any way. The only effect is that OPTI-APPS can no longer access deleted elements.
Refer to the following topics, as necessary:
• “Delete a Remote NE”
• “Delete a Gateway NE (and Subtended Remote NEs)”
• “Remove All Network Elements” on page 21
Delete a Remote NE
To delete a remote NE, complete the following steps:
1.
Right-click on the NE box in the Nav Pane.
2.
Select Delete This NE .
A confirmation dialog box appears ( Figure 15 ).
3.
Click Yes to delete or No to cancel.

Delete a Gateway NE (and Subtended Remote NEs)
To delete a GNE and all subtended NEs, complete the following steps:
1.
Right-click on the GNE box in the Nav Pane.
2.
Select Delete This GNE .
A confirmation dialog box appears ( Figure 16 ).
3.
Click Yes to delete or No to cancel.

NOTICE
Deleting a GNE deletes all remote NEs configured under that GNE.
