Installation of the Power Supply

WARNING

Before

making

any

power

connections

this

equipment,

verify

the

power

off

(fuse

removed/breaker

tripped).

This

equipment

should

only

operated

from

the

type

certified/listed

power

supply

supplied

the

manufacturer

with

the

equipment.

NOTE

When

installing

the

UPS,

refer

the

UPS

manufacture’s

mounting

instructions

where

possible.

the

uninterruptible

power

supply

(UPS)

complete

the

following

steps:

1. Select

location

for

the

UPS.

When

making

this

determination,

consider

the

following:

• This

unit

not

appropriate

for

outdoor

placement.

• Place

the

UPS

safe

area,

free

excessive

dust,

and

with

adequate

airflow.

• Refer

UPS

technical

specifications

table

for

details

temperature

and

humidity

requirements.

outside

these

specified

limits.

2. Use

the

template

enclosed

with

the

unit

mark

the

installation

location.

3. Remove

the

battery

cover

from

the

UPS

unit

and

remove

the

strap

from

the

battery

holding

the

shelf

the

unit.

4. Disconnect

the

battery

cable

the

battery

terminals

already

connected

the

battery.

5. Remove

the

battery.

6. Mount

the

UPS

using

screws

appropriate

for

the

total

weight

the

UPS

and

the

mounting

surface

material.

7. Connect

the

UPS

cable

wires

(see

Figure

8. Replace

the

battery

and

secure

the

battery

with

the

strap.
