INSTALLATION
CAUTION
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) can damage electronic modules.
When handling modules, wear an antistatic discharge wrist strap
to prevent damage to electronic components. Place modules in
antistatic packing material when transporting or storing. When
working on modules, always place them on an approved antistatic
mat that is electrically grounded.
After unpacking the T200 HTU-R, SP/60 mA, inspect it for damage. If damage has occurred,
file a claim with the carrier then contact ADTRAN Customer Service. Refer to
for further information. If possible, keep the original shipping container for
returning the T200 HTU-R, SP/60 mA for repair or for verification of shipping damage.

DS1 NIU 60 mA Current Option Jumper
The option jumper is used to configure the DS1 NIU 60 mA Current Source. The option
jumper must be configured before installing the T200 HTU-R, SP/60 mA. The available
settings are listed below:
• Off disables the constant current source for the DS1 NIU.
• On enables the 60 mA constant current source for the DS1 NIU.
Instructions for Installing the Module
To install the T200 HTU-R, SP/60 mA, perform the following steps:
1. Set the option jumper according to specific circuit design, for more information refer to
“DS1 NIU 60 mA Current Option Jumper”
above.
2. Hold the T200 HTU-R, SP/60 mA by the front panel while supporting its bottom edge to
engage the chassis edge.
