Global Configuration Mode Command Set

line console <line-number>

Purpose

Use the line console

<line-number> command to enter the line configuration command set for

the specified console session. Refer to

“Line (Console) Interface Config Command Set”

page 66 for information on the subcommands found in this command set.

Syntax Description

Table 15

displays the syntax descriptions for the line console <line-number> command.

Default Values

By default, the Total Access 238 line console parameters are configured as follows:

Data Rate: 9600 baud
Data bits: 8
Stop bits: 1
Parity Bits: 0
No flow control

Command Modes

The Global Configuration Mode is required for this command.

Usage Examples

Begin the configuration for the

CRAFT

port located on the front panel of the unit.

TA238(config)#line console 0

The following response is displayed:

TA238(config-con0)#

Specifies the starting console session to configure for remote access (valid range
