VIEW SIG BITS (View Signalling Bits)

Use 

VIEW SIG BITS 

to view the status of the RX and TX 

signalling bits in the DS-1 stream. See Figure 3-4. If you are 
operating in a SLC96 mode, 

1/0

 

may be displayed. This 

means that the signalling bit is toggling in each successive 
frame for that port.

SLC96 STATUS (Single and UVG Status)

SLC96 Status 

is used to view the signalling states on a per- 

channel basis related to the 

Channel (Network Interface) 

and the 

Customer (2W Ports)

. The states are shown in 

lexical representation to aid in determining system status 
without monitoring and translating the signalling bits (

VIEW 

SIG BITS

). 

SLC96 STATUS

 is only available when

 SINGLE

 

or 

UVG 

modes of operation are selected. See Figure 3-5.
