Functional Description

Gigabit Connector RJ-45 Pin Definitions (CN7/CN8)

The CN7/CN8 connector supplies the 10Base-T, 100Base-
TX and 1000Base-T interfaces to the Ethernet controller.

Table 3-7: Gigabit Connector CN7/CN8 Pin Definitions

Ethernet LED Status

SPEED (green):

When green it indicates a 1000BASE-TX connection. When not
lit and the ACT-LED is active, the connection is operating at
100BASE-T.

ACT (yellow):

This LED monitors network connection and activity. The LED
lights up when a valid link (cable connection) has been estab-
lished. The LED goes temporarily off if network packets are
being sent or received through the RJ-45 port. When this LED
