If you will not be using the scale for an extended period of time, disconnect
the charger from the mains supply to protect the battery.
3.5 Switching on
Remove all weights from the weighing surface.
Press the power button. All symbols are shown on the LCD display during the power-on
routine. After that, the scale shows “0g” and is ready for weighing.
If the selected unit has been changed before the last power-off, the scale will show “0.000lb”,
“0:0.00lb:oz” or “0.00oz”.
3.5.1 Switching off
To turn off the scale, press the power button.
3.5.2 Automatic power-off (in battery operation only)
The scale has an automatic power-off that can be preset by the user in configuration mode.
In the as-delivered condition, the automatic power-off is preset to 120 seconds (120).
To change the preset, turn on the scale, wait for the power-on routine to complete and then
start the configuration mode by pressing and holding down the “SET” button for 3 seconds until
the display shows “SEt”. After releasing the button, the display will show “Unit”.
Press the [UNIT] button and the display will show “AOFF”.
Press the [SET] button to switch to the presetting options. Press the [UNIT] button to select
the time until automatic power-off. The succession is 120, 180, 240, 300, OFF and again 120.
The values are the power-off time in seconds.
Once the desired value is displayed, press [SET] to confirm the selection.
The display will show the configuration item “AOFF”.
Use the [UNIT] button to enter the next menu item “GrAu”. This function is reserved for service
technicians only. Once “GrAu” appears on the display, press the [UNIT] button to confirm; the
display will show “End”. Press [SET] to confirm and go back to the weighing mode.
3.5.3 Automatic power-off at low voltage
If the battery charge is too low, the scale will turn off automatically.
3.6 Weighing mode + unit change
Put the object to be weighed on the scale. Once the scale is stable, the weight will be displayed
within one second.
The weight can be displayed in “g”, “lb”, “lb:oz” and “oz” units, which can be changed by
pressing the
[UNIT] button. The unit that has been set before the last power-off of the scale
will be displayed when it is turned on again later.
If the scale is overloaded, the display will show “OL”. In this case, immediately remove the
object to be weighed to prevent permanent damage to the scale.
