Link cable
Use only CAT 5e or better twisted pair cabling
to a total length
no greater than 100 meters
.
Host computer USB connection
Use the supplied USB cable to link the local
module to a vacant port on your computer.

Remote
module
USB device connection
Connect the plug of your USB device
to the socket on the remote module.
Checking the installation
On the local and remote modules, check that their green indicators are on. The green indicators
signify that the modules are powered up; have a USB connection to your system and are joined by a
suitable link cable.
If the green indicators are not on, check the three key items mentioned above.
If the green indicators are flashing, either the link cable is faulty or there may be a mismatch
between the firmware held within the modules. Contact Adder technical support for assistance.
Power adapter
Once connected to one of the modules, use the supplied
power cord to join the power adapter with the nearest
wall outlet.
Connect the power
adapter to the power
jack on either module.
Note
Never connect power adapters to the local and
remote modules simultaneously as this may cause
permanent damage to one or both modules.
