Before configuring an SDSL port, make sure you have:

Adding SDSL Frame Port Configurations
Each SDSL frame port is automatically assigned a default configuration. The default profile
index number for each SDSL frame profile type is 1. This procedure describes how to modify
the configuration to reflect the desired service.
1 From the
::frame=>
prompt, type the following command then press to display
the
::line=>
prompt.
profile line
2 Type
show
then press to display the configured line profiles.
3 Note the index number of the line profile you want to assign to the channel.
4 Type the following command then press to display the
::alarm=>
prompt.
configuration sdsl frame profile alarm
5 Type
show
then press to display the configured alarm profiles.
6 Note the index number of the alarm profile you want to assign to the channel.
7 Type the following command then press to display the
::frame=>
prompt.
configuration sdsl frame
8 Type the set command in the following format then press .
set <port> <lpindex> <apindex> (up|down)
Set up the desired SDSL line profile (see
“Configuring SDSL Frame Line Profiles” on
page 111 for instructions).
Set up the desired SDSL alarm profile (see
“Configuring SDSL Frame Alarm Profiles” on
page 114 for instructions).
