6.0 Maintenance
To keep the L-810 obstruction light fixtures operating efficiently, follow a preventive maintenance schedule. Refer to Table 6 .
Table 5: L-810 Obstruction Light Fixture Maintenance
Interval Maintenance Task Action
Daily
Check visually and by automatic indicator for
lamp failure.
Replace lamp, if necessary. Refer to Table 6 and “ Spare Components ”
on page 13 for lamp replacement.
Note
During lamp replacement, clean lens and receptacle
and check all wiring for defects.
Annually
When obstruction lights are mounted on
disconnect hangers, check lowering devices.
Clean and lubricate all lowering devices such as wire guides, pulleys,
all fittings, supports, and cables.
Clean the contact surfaces of the electrical disconnect.
