Windows XP/2000 (New Windows Installation)
Note:
Follow these instructions
only
if you are installing
Windows XP or Windows 2000 at the same time you are installing
your ASH-1205SA. If your computer already has Windows
installed, see
to find the appropriate driver installation
instructions.
After you have installed your ASH-1205SA and SATA devices, power on
your computer. To complete the driver installation:

Insert your Windows CD (or Windows 2000 boot disk #1).

Press
F6
when the Setup screen displays this text:
Press F6 for third party SCSI or RAID driver installation.

Press
S
to specify an additional device.

Insert the SATAConnect floppy disk, then press
Enter
.

Select
Adaptec Serial ATA 1205SA Host Controller
, then press
Enter
.

Follow the on-screen instructions to select your partition and file
system.
Files are copied to your SATA hard drive, then your system restarts.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
