Chapter 12: Network configuration 

 

This DVR is capable of being viewed, configured and backed-up remotely over a network. To do so the 

network settings must be setup correctly. To configure the network, you must enter the main menu, and then 

navigate to “Network”. 

 

 

This unit can be configured to work on many different network topologies. To configure this unit for your 

network, you may need to gather some information. First you need to determine whether you will be 

connecting this device directly to a modem, a modem/router combo device, or a standard router. You will 

also need to determine whether you have “Static IP Service” or standard service, and whether you have 

“Always On” DSL, DSL “On Demand”, or another high speed always on connection.
