To transmit an escape command: 

1.  In the demo application, scroll down and tap 

Authenticate Reader

2.  When the authentication is successful, tap 

OK

 to close the prompt. 

3.  Tap 

Transmit Escape Command

4.  The Escape Response will be displayed.
