A 40-pin header type connector (CN7) is provided to 
interface with up to two embedded hard disk drives (IDE AT 
bus). This interface, through a 40-pin cable, allows the user 
to connect up to two drives in a “daisy chain” fashion. To 
enable or disable the hard disk controller, please use the 
BIOS Setup program, which is explained further in chapter 
5.The following table illustrates the pin assignments of the 
hard disk drive’s 40-pin connector.

Step 1: 

Use JP1 to select the correct D.O.C. 
memory address. 

Step 2: 

Insert programmed DiskOnChip into 
sockets U19 setting as DOC.       

Step 3: 

Line up and insert the AR-B1570 card 
into slot of your back plane. 

  (1) RS-232/RS-485 Select for COM1 (P2 & P3) 

The P2&P3 jumpers are used to select the use of 0n-board 
RS-232 or RS-485 for the CN5 – COM1.
