rotates 360° (in 90° steps) to facilitate installation. The bowl, with an incorporated drain valve, is made of high-
strength polyamide (maximum pressure 10 bar). The cartridge is made of stainless steel and fixed to a bushing
with an o-ring seal. The special cartridge is resistant to pressure shock in order to prevent deformation or
crushing.
BravoCALOR
Cleaning filter ideal for cold or hot water applications (up to 90°C) with an all-brass body and stainless steel filter
cartridge with a standard 89 micron filter rating. BravoCALOR has a convenient plastic valve to drain dirt from
the bottom of the filter by simply opening the ring nut. BravoCALOR is available in versions with a 0-12 bar line
pressure gauge (models FT200, FT202, FT204, FT220, FT222, FT224). BravoCALOR is a compact filter
capable of handling considerable flow rates with low pressure loss.
A1.5 Pre-filtered water characteristics
Bravo, BravoDUE, BravoCALOR are designed and made to filter water intended for human consumption.
Warning!
Chloride ion concentrations above 200 mg/l and aggressive water can lead to corrosion by
dezincification.
Avoid water with chloride ion (Cl-) concentrations greater than 200 mg/l or with a ratio of chloride ion
concentration (expressed in ppm) to bicarbonate ion concentration (expressed in bicarbonate ppm) greater than
1. Acqua Brevetti SRL guarantees that with input water compliant with the drinking water parameters, the
equipment will provide water within the parameters of the same decree. If the water supplied to the equipment
contains added chemicals (e.g., disinfectants, scale/corrosion inhibitors) or undergoes
softening/demineralisation, you should contact Acqua Brevetti SRL before installing the equipment.
A2 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Warning!
This device requires regular periodic maintenance in order to ensure the potability
requirements of the drinking water treated and to preserve the improved features as declared by the
manufacturer.
Warning!
If the device needs to be taken apart for maintenance, the parts in contact with drinking water
should be handled with care and attention to hygiene to prevent contamination of the water system.
Use suitable disposable gloves. Any tools used must be cleaned and disinfected before use.
In the event of malfunction or need, or for any work on the filter other than cleaning, set the filter to bypass and
call a TSC. The scheduled maintenance intervals must be observed in order to prevent contamination of the
filter element. Regular maintenance ensures hygienic and failure-free operation. Cleaning and maintenance
operations are required by standards EN 806-5 and EN 13443-1. Periodic maintenance is required on two levels.
Routine maintenance
: this includes tasks that can be performed by the end user.
Special maintenance
: this
includes tasks that must be carried out exclusively by authorised TSCs (Technical Support Centres).
Maintenance operations must be reported in the attached “Maintenance log”. The manufacturer guarantees the
performance described in this manual provided that the equipment is used and maintained in the manner
specified.
A2.1 Routine maintenance - *
A2.2 Special maintenance
If special maintenance or repair work is not carried out properly, it can impair functional and/or safety
features: operations of this kind are intentionally omitted from this manual. All special maintenance
operations must be performed exclusively by authorised Acqua Brevetti SRL TSCs. The filter element
should be replaced when the filter element is visibly dirty and/or routine cleaning has little effect. The filter must
be sanitised once a year or after periods of non-use exceeding 30 days.Use only original replacement parts.
Unauthorised alterations or changes of any part of the device are not permitted.
A2.3 Disuse
Disuse means that the water system remains static without any water taken from the taps (e.g., a holiday period).
Disuse of up to 30 days
: Perform the filter cleaning operation repeatedly (4-5 times), keeping the filter in the
drain position for at least 30 seconds to allow adequate flushing of the filter.
Disuse of over 30 days
: Contact an Acqua Brevetti authorised Technical Support Centre (TSC) to sanitise the
filter (special maintenance operation).
