Once you have familiarised yourself with the DS 222 you need to connect up the unit.
Take all of the items included from the packaging, and have a look at the room in which
you are going place the system. Picture where you are going to position the speakers
- is the subwoofer close to a 13A power socket? We suggest that you keep the all of the
items close together when you first set up the system then move them into their final
position when you are happy the system is working correctly - also remember to ensure
the power is turned OFF until all of the connections are made. The DS 222 will accept a
signal a 5.1 DVD player or PC sound card. RCA (phono) leads are supplied for
connection of a 5.1 DVD player, the 3.5mm Jack to Phono leads supplied for connection
a to sound card. Follow the diagram on page 4 ensuring all connections are made firmly.
Once you have connected all your inputs, take the colour coded speaker wires, follow the
diagram on page 4 and connect the satellite speakers; each is colour coded to match its
position (also see the ‘Fast Set Up Sheet’ for ideas on positioning within your room).
