External Pointing Device
This notebook accepts either a serial mouse or PS/2-compatible mouse or
similar pointing device.
Connecting an External Pointing Device
Plug a serial mouse into the serial port (
) on the rear panel; plug a PS/2-
compatible mouse into the PS/2 port (
) on the rear panel.
To enable a serial mouse, you need to use the Add New
Hardware tool in the Windows 95 Control Panel to detect and
install the necessary drivers.
If you connect an external PS/2 mouse to the notebook, press

_
to enter suspend-to-memory mode. Then press any
key to return to enable the external mouse. Installing an
external PS/2 mouse disables the built-in touchpad.
