12 Handling of the Device
12.1 Switching the Device On and Off
12.1.1 By keys
When in standard mode, the device is switched on via the OK button
and is switched off by pressing the
F1
button for at least 5 seconds. If the device is in standby mode, this is indicated by the flashing of the green
LED (3 seconds off/1 second on).
Via the MFT10Tray application it is possible to configure the following combinations to switch the device on
and off. The MFT10Tray is only available under Windows
®
. Vehicle terminals with the Android
TM
operating
system use the pre-installed ACD TerminalSettings application to make settings (see documentation:
"Android_Manual_Adminstration_Administration_Manual").

12.1.2 By Ignition
The hardware of the ignition is explained in chapter 12.3.1.
The ignition can be used via an additional signal (voltage supply cable).
The ignition is used in “parallel” to the "By keys" function. Configuration is carried out in the MFT10Tray
application (see document
“MFT10Tray”) or under the Android
TM
operating system with the ACD
TerminalSettings application (see documentation: "Android_Manual_Adminstration_Administration_Manual").
By using the ignition signal, the MFT can be started (switched on) or shut down (switched off).
There are two ways to use the ignition signal: continuously switched (MFT10Tray/ACD TerminalSettings:
“Static”) or button (MFT10Tray/ACD TerminalSettings: "Toggle"). For the steady state On or Off, a debounce
time of 0.5 seconds is effective.
static
: With an active signal from the ignition the MFT is switched on. Subsequently, the signal must remain
active. When the signal is removed (signal state low) the MFT is shut down (if so configured).
toggle
: With an active signal from the ignition (longer than 0.5 seconds) the MFT is switched on.
Subsequently, the signal can be inactive (low state). Via another active state (longer than 0.5 seconds) the
MFT is shut down.
Upon delivery of the MFT by ACD, the ignition is configured as requested by the customer.
