5. Installation instructions
This camera is designed for indoor use only. If the camera is used outdoors,
damage may occur as a result of dampness and temperatures outside the
prescribed range. The ECOLINE colour cameras are equipped with an OLPF
filter and are therefore suitable for use in combination with IR illumination.
First-class video pictures are largely dependent on the illumination used. When
using artificial light, make sure you use lights with a colour spectrum as near as
possible to daylight, since colour distortion can otherwise occur with colour
cameras.
The reason for poor picture quality is often bad-quality cabling. Make sure the
connections are properly crimped, avoid passive video signal distributors, and
always choose the shortest possible cable route between the camera and video
processing devices.
Before installing a video surveillance system with camouflaged cameras, please
be aware of any possible legal regulations that may apply.
