ELECTRONIC SIREN

MODEL 30.2515

INTRODUCTION

The 30.2515 siren consists of an amplifier which powers

one 100 watt RMS speaker.  The amplifier, because of its small
physical size, mounts conveniently in a remote position from the
mini controller.

The 30.2515 siren system includes a remote mini

controller.  The controller allows the operator to select  Wail,
Yelp, Phaser, Air Horn, Whoop, Warble, High/Low or Manual
functions.

INSTALLATION OF POWER AMPLIFIER

Select a location suitable for installation of the amplifier.

This area must be free from moisture, heat, and abuse.

DO NOT MOUNT IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.

  Using

the amplifier as a template, mark the location of the mounting
holes.  Drill holes at these locations to assist in starting the
mounting screws provided.  All installations are the sole
responsibility of the buyer.

CONTROL SWITCH

Select a location suitable for installation of the control

switch.  The area selected should provide ease of operation
and must not interfere with normal operation of the vehicle or
deployment of air bag.

SPEAKER CONNECTIONS

Use only one 100 watt speaker with an 11 ohm

impedance.  Connect one conductor of the 16-2 wire supplied
to the terminal on the siren marked “SPKR +”.  Connect the
second conductor of the 16-2 wire to the “SPKR -” terminal on
the siren.

POWER INPUT CONNECTIONS

Connect the supplied black wire to the terminal on the siren

marked “GROUND”.  Connect the other end of the black wire to
ground.  The negative terminal of the battery is a preferable
location.  Connect the supplied red wire to the terminal on the
siren marked “+ 12 V”.  This terminal on the siren connects directly
to the on board 20 amp fuse.  Connect the other end of the red
wire to a positive source. To protect the wiring going to the siren,
install an in-line fuse or circuit breaker on the end of the wire as
close to the positive source as possible.  The current draw of the
siren during operation is approximately 10 to 15 amps, when
supplied by 13.8 volts.  The current draw of the siren when power
is applied, but no functions are selected, is approximately .03
amps.

REMOTE MINI CONTROLLER CONNECTION

Connect the wire from the control switch to the jack on the

siren as shown in the diagram.  By pushing one of the 8 the
buttons the corresponding sound will be produced.
All LED lights for the 8 buttons stay lit dim , when a button is
pressed for any of the 8 functions the LED will be lit bright until the
button is pushed again and the function turned off.
