Read Previous Sentence - move your hand slowly from right to left above the
printed material. Move your hand as many times as it takes to reach your desired
previous sentence.
Keypad (Optional) :
To hear the functions of the buttons on the keypad please hold down the help
button and any other button on the keypad. You will then hear a description of the
button and its function.
Mode Button - the square button, marked with a raised circle located above the
Help button in the middle of the keypad. This button is used to switch between
reading mode and magnification mode. When you press the Mode button Solo will
tell you which mode you are in – either reading mode or magnification mode.
Note: Buttons on the keypad will function differently depending on which mode
you are in.
Help Button – The only round button on the keypad, below the Mode button.
Pause/Resume Button (Center of the Arrow Buttons) –. When pressed it will
pause and resume reading. In Reading Mode this button will pause and resume
reading. In Magnification Mode this button has no function
Left Arrow – located to the left of the center button. In reading mode when the
left arrow is pressed the previous word will be read. When the left and right
arrows are pressed together SOLO will read through columns.
Right Arrow – located to the right of the center button. In reading mode when
the right arrow is pressed the next word will be read. When the left and right
arrows are pressed together SOLO will read through columns.
Up Arrow – located above the center button. In reading mode when the up arrow
is pressed the previous sentence will be read. When the down and up arrows are
pressed together SOLO will describe the page layout.
Down Arrow – located below the center button. In reading mode when the down
arrow is pressed the next sentence will be read. When the down and up arrows are
pressed together SOLO will describe the page layout.
Save Button - is marked with a vertical line and is located to the left of the Mode
button. Hold the Save button and then press one of the arrow buttons to save a
one page document. The keypad has the ability to save four, one page documents.
You will hear the device say, “image saved”.
