Voice Mode Settings
Reading Speed:
This setting allows adjustment of the speed in which the document is read aloud by the
Ace Plus. If you would like to be able to adjust the reading speed with the Left Roller
while reading a documen
t, you can choose to set the Left Roller Mode to “Reading
Speed.” You can also set a Reading Speed from the General Settings Menu which will
keep the reading speed at a set pace you choose once. By default, the Left Roller
Mode will be set to Font Magnification, which will allow you to control the font size as
you read. If you would rather use the Left Roller to control reading speed as you read
instead of using it to control Font Magnification as you read, you can switch the Left
Roller Mode to “Reading Speed” by doing the following:
Press the Home Button to go to the Main Menu. Use the Right Roller to scroll down to
Settings and choose it by pressing the Action Button. You will hear “General Settings.”
Select this by pressing the Action Button. Use the Right Roller to Scroll to Left Roller
Mode and select it with the Action Button. You will hear “Reading Speed.” Press the
action button to set your Left Roller Mode to Reading Speed. To change the Left Roller
Mode back to Font Magnification, use this same process, but when you are in the
General Settings menu, and you then choose “Left Roller Mode,” you will need to scroll
past “Reading Speed” until you come to “Font Magnification,” and then press the Action
Button to set the mode to Font Magnification.
In order to change and set the
Reading speed
from the Settings, press the

. Use the
Right Roller
to scroll down to the
Settings
menu item, and press the
Action Button
to select it. Use the
Right Roller
to scroll
down to
General Settings
, and select it with the
Action Button
. Then, use the
Right
Roller
to scroll down to
Reading Speed
, and select it with the
Action Button
. Next,
use the
Right Roller
to scroll between the speed values from 1 (the slowest) to 10 (the
fastest). Stop at the speed value you would like to select and set it by pressing the
Action Button
one final time.
Voice/Language:
To adjust the setting for your preferred reading voice or language, press the
Home
Button go the
Main Menu
. Use the
Right Roller
to scroll down to the
Settings
option,
and press the
Action Button
to choose it. Use the
Right Roller
to scroll down to the
General Settings
, and press the
Action Button
to select it. Next, use the
Right
Roller
to scroll down to the
Voice
option, and choose it by pressing the
Action
Button
. Then, use the
Right Roller
to scroll through available language/voice
combinations and stop at your preference. Press the
Action Button
one final time to
set the selection.
