Location
If possible, choose a location where the detector is protected against direct sunlight, which
reduces the range. Please note that this is an optical system and consequently there must be
no obstructions between the transmitter and the detector. Indoors the light however is
reflected against walls, floor, and ceiling. Light materials are good reflectors while dark
materials are bad ones. Glass will let the IR-light through.
Connection
CAUTION:
Be careful when connecting the detector to the receiver. Making the wrong
connection may damage the detector.
NOTE:
•
When mounting the Gewa Andromeda IR-DET OEM the detector casing must be
isolated from electrically conducting material.
•
Detectors included in this manual can only be connected to Gewa Andromeda IR-
receivers.
Connect the detector according to the instructions for each individual receiver. The
connection instructions refer to the colours of the detector cable. When lengthening the
detector cable EKKX 1 x 2 x 0.5 is used. Maximum 100 m detector cable can be connected.
Storage and disposal
Storage
Keep the product indoors at room temperature and away from moist.
Recycling Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
The product contains electronic components that must be recycled. When the
product is no longer of use, hand it in to a recycling centre for waste electrical and
electronic equipment.
