VP - 10.1 Tube Positioning Arm Check

Purpose: Perform this procedure to verify Tube Positioning Arm Operation and Alignment,

NOTE:E and F Loaders Only - G Loader does not have a Tube Positioning Arm.

1. Before performing this procedure, perform

“VP - 3.8 Rack to Laser Shield Check” (Page 3-39)

2. Remove racks from under mixing assembly.

3. Put Sample Loader in Manual Mode.

a. Press and Hold MAN and START.

b. Turn Power ON, hold keys down until BEEPING stops.

4. Set BAR (1/0) Switch to 1.

5. Press MAN to actuate arm.

6. Measure energized and non-energized tube position arm distances from Platen Wall, not Laser

Shield (

Figure 3-72

F Loader Only

a. Measure both arms. Each arm should extend 0.32 - 0.4” (8 - 12mm) from Platten Wall.

7. Actuate and measure arm several times to ensure arm does not drag on shield or platen.
