2. Manual operating
mechanism
2.1 General
Manual operating mechanism OJO-ZA 1 is used as an
operating unit for indoor type disconnectors.
2.2 Construction
The manual operating mechanism locks the disconnector
by means of a dead-angle lever, at its end positions.
The locking is secured by a spring-loaded pin. Addi-
tionally the dead-angle lever makes operating lighter
near the end positions.
The end of the control shaft can be covered with a
lockable protection cover.
The manual operating mechanism can be equipped both
with an interlocking magnet and an auxiliary switch.
2.3 Function
(numbering acc. to fig. 1)
When the control handle (16) is turned 180
o
, the move-
ment is transferred by means of different levers and
links to the shaft of the disconnector turning it 90
o
.
Excessive control movements are prevented by the pins
of the limiting rings (3) which are stopped by the fixed
limiter (in part 2).
In case of possible disturbance with no auxiliary volt-
age, the locking of the interlocking magnet can be
manually released locally.
The auxiliary switch (11) operated by means of a lever
mounted on the operating shaft (1) and the link meet
the requirements set for the auxiliary switches of the
disconnectors in IEC and VDE standards.
