If the load is not safe to lift by yourself, make sure that you get help. When two persons
(or more) are performing the lift, make sure that your actions are synchronized. You
must communicate with each other to avoid injury, and it is best for one person to make
the calls so that you can lift together.
Avoid lifting heavy objects with one hand. Always try to balance the load in both hands
or get a cart.

WEEE Directive
The analyzer is not subject to WEEE Directive 2002/96/EC (Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment) or relevant national laws (for example, ElektroG in Germany).
The product must be disposed of at a specialized recycling facility. Do not use municipal garbage
collection points. According to the WEEE directive 2002/96/EC, only products used in private
applications may be disposed of at municipal garbage facilities. Proper disposal prevents
negative effects on people and the environment, and supports the reuse of valuable raw
materials.
Laser Interlock
The analyzer lasers are provided with an interlock system which prevents laser operation if the
top panel is removed. The laser interlock key is attached to the analyzer top panel. See
Figure 1 for the location of the laser interlock.
