Lifting hook
The lifting hook is specifically designed for general
lifting and lowering of the vacuum circuit breaker
from shipping pallets or for lifting onto and off of
work tables. The lifting hook is not designed to be
used for insertion or removal of the circuit breaker
from the switchgear compartment. Instead, use an
appropriate lift truck, or serious damage to the
breaker may occur.
Lifting hook detail
Attach one lifting hook to each side of the circuit
breaker on lifting hook angle.
Note: Lifting angles

must be removed before
breaker is inserted into switchgear compartment.
For further details on breaker lifting and

commissioning manual 1VAL0501-MB.

Racking handle
The racking handle is designed to easily rack the
breaker into and out of a switchgear enclosure.
It is also used to change the position of the device
from the disconnect, test and connect positions.
Press down on the release lever and rotate racking
handle clockwise to rack in (toward connect) and
counter clockwise to rack out (from connect).
Do not handle the circuit breaker by inserting a
lifting device directly under the truck of the
breaker. If this technique is unavoidable, place the
circuit breaker on a pallet or a sturdy supporting
surface. In any case, it is always advisable to lift
the apparatus by means of the lifting brackets
