11.A - Star ng Procedure
When all internal wiring has been completed, it is me to connect the system to your data network and
power outlets. Before powering the system up please take the me to refer to the IMPORTANT SAFETY
INFORMATION SECTION of this guide to double check that all the safety guidelines have been followed and
understood.
A. Move the system to its fi nal loca on (If slim base used - Wall fi xing kit is installed correctly).
B. Ensure that all cables leading to and from the system are neatly contained.
C. Switch “ON” the Incoming Wall/Floor AC power.
D. Switch “ON” the abox
TM
power switch (located on the rear of the system). All devices connected within
the system will be powered up (ini al power up me varies dependant on make/model of codec installed).
E. The system display will power up and show codec informa on via on-screen message (see sec on 12B).
F. Use the Codec remote control or Codec Web Browser to confi gure the videoconferencing codec using
the manufacturer’s instruc ons.
G. Confi gure the abox TM to the correct codec mode via the Ashton Bentley interface unit (See sec on 13 for
more informa on).
H. Conduct internal videoconferencing tes ng and observe all video, audio and camera func ons are as per
specifi ca on.
I. The system is now ready for the calls and presenta ons.
The 3 metre mains IEC cable (supplied)
has an integral locking security latch which
ensures a posi ve fi t to the system.
DO NOT plug system into mains un l the unit
has been wired.
Ensure all cables connec ng to the system
are neatly contained and will not cause any
injury.
Power switch on rear of system MUST BE
accessible at all mes.
