Using the expansion key module Office DKBM
The configurable keys of the expansion key module Office DKBM
[a]
can be operated as all con-
figurable keys. In addition, there are the following extensions:
• If you remove an Office DKBM or if you modify the order of the connected expansion key-
pads, the keys configuration does not change.
• The
DKBM display contrast
applies to all connected Office DKBM expansion key modules.
• The
display’s backlight setting
of the Office DKBM is taken from the phone.
Input

Enters digits
The digit keys are used to enter the digits 0 to 9.

Enter the letters
You can also use the digit keys to enter letters and special characters. A number of letters and
special characters are assigned to each key.
To enter letters using the digit keys, you need to be in text mode. The text mode is activated
automatically if the phone is expecting a text input. You can switch back and forth between
number mode and letter mode during your input.
Shift key:
Allows to switch between the 3 views. Press 1x each to display the next level.
LED display:
Indicates which level is activated.

If, for example, you are level 3 of the Office DKBM expansion key module
and an event occurs on level 1, the event is signalled by the red blinking
LED in position 1.
