4.2.16. DTS Display Mode
(
real time mode)
In the real time mode „DTS“ around 50,000 symbols per
second are calculated and graphed. Here, there are two
display modes available:
- Hist (Histogram view)
- WF (Waterfall view)
Via „Setup/Demod“ you can demodulate a signal in the
spectrum. If clicked, a cursor, which you can position any-
where on the spectrum with the help of the jog dial, ap-
pears. Simultaneously, the frequency of the signal is dis-
played.

WIFI Histogram
In the histogram, the frequency (X-axis), level (Y axis) and
frequency of occurrence (color) of the signal is displayed at
the same time. In this case the signal frequency is represent-
ed by blue (very rare) to red (very often). The data is held in
an adjustable ring buffer which is displayed in color: A com-
mon signal at the same level and frequency will appear in
red, while a signal which rarely occurs or only occurred once
is in blue. Therefore this display allows you to perfectly track
the temporary interferes or hidden signals within a signal.
You can control the color distribution of the histogram display
under „Hist Inc“ and „Dec Hist“ in the menu „Setup“.
„Hist Inc“ thereby controls the percentage, with which the
histogram ring buffer should be filled (from 0.01%). The de
-
fault value is 0.5%.
„Hist Dec“ controls the percentage, with which the histogram
ring buffer should be emptied. The default value is also 0.5%.
With the „CLR UNDO“ button you can delete the ring buffer
of the histograms at any time. This can take about 2-3 sec-
onds.
With the „CUSTOM“ button you can automatically adjust the
color scale.
