ZSE40A Vacuum Switch Setup
1. Enter Function Selection Mode – Press and hold (> 2 sec.) the
S
key until the display
shows
F 0
a. If
LoC
is displayed, hold the
S
key for > 5, press the
Down
key once, then press
S
button once to enter the setting.
2. Reset the unit to default settings – From
F 0
press the
Down
key once to navigate to
F99;
Press the
S
key, then the
Up
arrow to toggle to
on
; Hold the
S
key and the
Down
arrow key for > 5 seconds.
3. From
F99
press the
UP
key once to navigate to
F 0
and press the
S
key once to display
Uni
. Press the
UP
key once to set display to
inH
.
4. Press the
S
key once to return to
F 0.
5. From
F 0
press the
UP
key once to navigate to
F 1
and press the
S
key 3 times so the
display reads
P_1
. Verify that the display reads
-15.0
(or the setting stated on the prints;
-18.0 for the system vacuum switch). Press the
S
key 1 more time so the display reads
H_1
. Using the
UP and Down
keys set display to
3.0
.
6. Press the
S
key 2 times to return to
F 1.

Setting F 2 (P_2) is not necessary for Aagard’s standard application.
8. Now return to the main display by pressing the
S
key for > 2 seconds. This should bring
you to a screen with a low number on it for the current/live reading.
System vacuum switch settings –
P_1
= -18.0
Secondary vacuum switch settings –
P_1
= -15.0
By setting these switches up in this manner the system vacuum switch will provide an output when
we get to
18.0
InHg and it will not loose its signal unless we drop below
15.0
InHg. The secondary
vacuum switch set points will be
15.0
&
12.0
respectively.
These switches are sent with a
PSI
label affixed to the upper right corner of the display (The ZSE
model can sense both vacuum & pressure). There are extra labels that are shipped with each
switch.
Be sure to remove the
PSI
label and replace it with the
in/Hg
when this
procedure is completed.
