Do not use or repair this product by yourself if the power cord or power adaptor is damaged.
These are to be repaired or replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified
person to avoid a hazard.
To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or receptacle getting wet, position aquarium stand and
tank to one side of a wall-mounted receptacle to prevent water from dripping onto the receptacle or
plug. A “drip loop” shown in the figure below, should be arranged by the user for each cord connecting
an aquarium appliance to a receptacle. The “drip loop” is that part of the cord below the level of the
receptacle, or the connector if an extension cord is used, to prevent water traveling along the cord and
coming in contact with the receptacle.
WARNING:
Do not expose eyes or skin to unshielded UV lamps. UV lamps emit UV radiation which may cause eye
or skin injury.
NOTE:
AA's UV lamp is manufactured in a sealed shielded opaque housing.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Carefully remove the unit from the packing materials. Check for damage. If damaged, return product to
your retailer immediately.

a) 1 sealed UV Lamp Assembly – Oval Shaped
b) 1 power adaptor
c) 1 connection box (with 3 connection plugs)
d) 1 filter pump
e) 2 plastic elbows – 1 thin and 1 fat
f) 4 filtration sponges – Blue
g) 24 Watt ONLY – 1 pump suction cup plate and 1 large ring suction cup
3. Refer to the pictures in Quick Start-Up. Holding the lamp assembly upright, attach the fat elbow to the
round outlet on the bulb so it faces up. Now connect the filter pump to the elbow. Connect the thin plastic

4. For 24 Watt version only – put suction cup plate onto pump and the large ring suction cup onto bulb
housing.
5. Submerse the assembly in your tank for 30 seconds to allow air bubbles to escape. Extra bubbles
provide unwanted buoyancy. Refer to Fig. 2
6. Locate the UV in the desired location in your aquarium making sure UV lamp assembly is covered with
water. The UV lamp assembly can rotate if needed to fit to your tank.
7. To avoid the risk of short circuit by water vapor, the Control Box MUST be affixed onto the outside of the
tank but NOT on the top of the tank. Refer to Fig.3
