4B SHADE II

CASSETTE INSTALLATION

Disassemble cassette by first removing the 2 micro screws then ‘Carefully’ lifting each end of the Cassette 
front section. (A)

NOTE

: The Cassette front section is held by 2 internal plastic lugs which can 

break

if too much force is 

used.  Push down gently as you lift each side upwards.

Carefully remove the fabric by lifting the pin on the LHS using the ‘Tensioning Tool’ (A).
Store the fabric ready for re-installation later.

Mounting Cassette to the Roof Bars or direct onto Outer Tubes.

Mounting on Roof Bars

- Remove roof bar and centre the Cassette base onto the rear roof bar.

Mounting on Outer Tube

– position outer tubes onto roof bars / rack first – see below and page 3.

HINT – Position the rear roof bar as far to the back of the vehicle as possible for easier operation.
Hint – Remove part of the rubber from the roof bar for a better fit.

Drill 3 holes (6mm bit) spaced equally apart through the Cassette back and the roof bar.

Secure using the M5 20mm bolts, washers and locking nuts provided.

Position Roof Bar back onto rear of the vehicle.

POSITIONING OUTER TUBE BARS

NOTE

– Outer Tube bars must be ‘Exact’ distance apart front and back!  (See page 3)

Protect roof with appropriate fabric covers to avoid scratches and other damage.

Position each Outer Tube with the end lip in line with the back of the Cassette back.

Position bars approx 850mm apart. NOTE – must be equally spaced and centred.

Position the Support U Brackets (B)

Hint – REMEMBER – the bars must be ‘Exact’ distance apart front and back!  CROSS CHECK.

Secure the Support brackets to the underside of the roof bars - (6mm Drill Bit) using the M5 20mm 
bolts, washers and locking nuts provided.

Insert the Inner Tube bars  with the pre drilled hole facing upwards - check they slide freely.
