7

 

Maintenance service 

7.1 General instructions 

7.1.1  For  maintenance  and  operation  of  the  installed  and  brought  into  serviceable  condition 

product «SOKOL-M1» is allowed engineering and technical personnel who have special training and 
studied the operational documentation for "SOKOL-M1". 

7.1.2 «SOKOL-M1» is serviced (see p.8) at least once every six months. 

7.1.3  The  personnel  may  be  guided  by  industry-specific  guidance  documents  in  the  part  of 

carrying out maintenance. 

7.1.4 Periodical maintenance includes: 

—

 

checking the integrity and performance of the weather station nodes; 

—

 

repair or replacement of faulty components; 

—

 

battery charging 

—

 

inspect cables for breaks, cracks in insulation or cable connectors and for curved 

or damaged contacts; 

—

 

removal of dirt, dust, sand or leaves; 

—

 

hull integrity check. 

7.1.5  Most  maintenance  procedures  can  be  performed  on  site.  Calibration,  verification  and 

software upgrades may require the product to be sent to an accredited laboratory, to a manufacturing 
plant or to a comprehensive service company. 

7.1.6 Before checking the product, periodic maintenance is mandatory. 

7.2 Security measures 

7.2.1

 

Before removing (if necessary) the units from the product hoods, their power supply 

shall be switched off. 

7.2.2

 

All units supplied with AC voltage over 42V and DC voltage over 110V shall be 

grounded. 

7.2.3

 

It is prohibited to open the case of the product in bad weather conditions (rain, dust in 

the air, etc.).
