This parameter indicates the direction of the data. It includes 3 kinds of choices: "All", "Ingress" and
"Egress".
1. This function is not often used. Otherwise other port-based higher management function like RSTP,IGMP
SNOOPING
2. Port mirroring function can only deal with the normal FCS packets. It cannot deal with error data frames.
6.10.2 PING Test
PING (Packet Internet Grope), Internet package explorer, a program used to test the network
connection amount. Ping sends an ICMP echo request message to the destination and report whether the
receipt of the desired ICMP echo response.
PING is a command that used to check the network connection or the network speed. Ping can test
the computer name and computer IP address, verify the connection with the remote computer, ICMP
echo packet is sent to your computer and snoop the echo reply packet to verify the connection with one or
more remote computers.
