Test specification
Under DOS, no need to start any program, just test the connection if entering
data directly under the cursor prompt.
C:\>MODE COM19600,N,8,1
C:\>TYPE CON>COM1
Then, enter the number directly at the cursor, and press enter to display the
numbers to the screen. When the test is successful, press Ctrl+C to exit edit
status, and return to DOS status.
