3M™ GMI™ PS200-LMP AUTO BUMP/CALIBRATION STATION
CONNECTIONS
3-4
3.2. In-line Filter
During bump testing and calibration, ambient air is fed to the monitor from the ‘Air’ inlet. To improve
ABC operation, GMI recommend fitting the supplied ‘Air’ in-line filter.
1. Push the barbed adapter (of the in-line filter assembly) into the ‘Air’ inlet, as illustrated in
Figure 3-6: ‘Air’ Inlet Connection
2. Route the ‘Air’ inlet tubing from the in-line filter to a supply of fresh air (e.g. a window).
Alternatively, use a cylinder of ‘clean’ air to supply inlet air. If this option is adopted, the in-line fil-
ter cannot be used.
3.3. Exhaust
To vent calibration gas:
1. Connect a length of suitable tubing (e.g. GMI P/N 12712, Tygon E-3603, 3/16” ID x 5/16” OD -
not supplied) to the barbed adapter.
2. Push the barbed adapter (supplied) into the ‘Exhaust’ outlet.
3. Route the tubing appropriately (e.g. out a window).
4. Always keep the ends of the ‘Air’ inlet tubing and the ‘Exhaust’ outlet tubing separate.
