Synchronizing IP Messaging Tables
The final step when adding a secondary server is the sychronization of the
IP Messaging tables. To synchronize the tables:
1 On the active server, at the command line enter this command:
xattach app
2 In the screen that appears, click Scripts and then Spawn Script.
3 In the Local Script to Spawn window that appears, page down until you
see the
vssu_sync script.
4 Click the vssu_sync script and click Select.
5 In the blue Tables window that appears, click the SS button to select all
the tables that are synchronized with Intelligent Mirroring.
A selection of the check boxes on the left are enabled.
6 Click the UD button to sychronize the tables.
The standby server is updated and restarted.
Verifying Table Synchronization
To verify that table synchronization, enter this command:
tblcmp
If the table synchronization was successfully completed, the output from
this command on a VCX Connect system should be similar to this:
sstables_done
10c10
< _vngd_val:nanval,140,0,####138,####140
---
> _vngd_val:nanval,141,0,####138,####141
If table synchronization was not successfully completed, the output from
the
tblcmp
command is a longer list of status messages.
