Introduction
The SuperStack 3 Advanced RPS (3C16071, 3C16071A, or
3C16071B) provides redundant power to the products in the 3Com
SuperStack 3 family.
The optional Type 3 Power Module Advanced RPS ‘Y’ cable
(3C16077) provides DC power from two Type 3 Power Modules to a
SuperStack 3 unit when full redundancy (resilience) is required. The
‘Y’ cable allows you to “hot-swap” a module while maintaining the
power supply to your SuperStack 3 unit.

Please read the safety information contained in the
Type 3 Power Module Installation Guide before connecting the ‘Y’
cable.
You must not attempt to connect the cable to any non-RPS power
outlet. Damage will result to both the RPS and the SuperStack 3
product if you do.
